3 words….THAT SEXY WALK!!
This “All for You” Tour was one of Janet’s best. The medley of songs is killin’ it, with some of my favourites. “NASTY” with a wee bit of Hov..LOVE IT!
FOR YOU JANET. THANK YOU FOR COMING BACK GIRL….or should I say MY GIRL!!
I LOVE THIS SONG!
A definite departure from the usual punk sounds of the CLASH. RADIO CLASH has a much more funky beat with an 80’s rap influence. The song as a whole is the band’s tribute to New York rap acts such as the Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five
In 1974, Graham Central Station’s hit “Can You Handle It” reached #9 on the BILLBOARDS chart
This song takes me back to my preteen years, with my parents, purchasing the newest 45s, and being so excited to go home and get down to it. This was ONE of them.
Graham Central Station’s style is an inspiration for all characters created through Afrodelik’s AFROCITY collection. Lovin’ the hair Larry!
THA Godfathas and Godmothas of FUNK…the Almighty FUNKADELIC
From their 1974 released album with the same name, as the single “Standing On the Verge of Getting it On”. A very stanky ass tune. So funky..its NASTY!
Funkadelic’s 1976 LIVE performance in Houston is CWAAAZY!
1974- I loved FUNK music 1974- TV shows were created around Black American life 1974- I learned the dance move “the bump” 1974- My creativity began and my love for black culture became more alive A HUGE YEAR for black arts, culture, music, film, and I am celebrating 1974
