Funky Friday Song of the Day- Fela Anikulapo Kuti

Fela Kuti…king of Afrobeat.
I love everything about his music. The 1st time I heard him was in the 80’s along with King Sunny Ade on radio station CKLN, or was it CFNY..not sure. Nonetheless it changed my life, for the better. It opened my spirit up to African music and I feel it deep in my soul.
Zombie is a favorite of mine
In his honour, AFRODELIK has created a unique tshirt, celebrating the king of Afrobeat.

Dad being a Donna Summer’s fan introduced me to Donna Summer of the 80’s. On 1 of the mixed tapes was this song “I Feel Love”.
