“Little White Lie” is a documentary that delves into the life of director and main character, Lacey Schwartz. Lacey clearly looked different from her Jewish family, but lived her life as a white person. In peeling back the layers, she discovers a family secret…her mother had an affair, hence Lacy learning her true identity. She is bi-racial.
Her story is a healing one, as it delves into parts of herself that she never knew existed. This knowing has completed HER as she embraces all of who she is. Lacey’s story and many others like hers need to be brought to the forefront. Race identity, of all layers is important for your history and self-love.
